Synopsis:
All her life, clever Aemi has been a slave in the Village of the Rocks, a place where the sea and sky meet. She’s heard the stories about the fabled People of the Sea, a people who possess unimaginable technology who live below the waves in the dark, secret places of the ocean. But she never dreamed those stories were true.

When a ship emerges from the ocean and men burn her village, Aemi is captured, and enslaved below the waves in Itlantis, a world filled with ancient cities of glass and metal, floating gardens, and wondrous devices that seem to work magic. To make matters worse, her village nemesis, the stuck-up mayor’s son Nol, was captured with her, and they are made servants in the same household beneath the sea.

Desperate to be free, Aemi plots her escape, even going so far as to work with Nol. But the sea holds more secrets than she realizes, and escape might not be as simple as leaving…

My Review
I love this new series!! A girl kidnapped from her seaside town and taken to be a servant in an underwater world, This is amazing!! The world building to create this magnificent new world is just stunning. And our main lady will learn a whole lot of things while here!

I must say that I hadn't read this author until the book. I'm hooked and I'm a new die hard fan. I mean I like dystopian, but this, this is a whole new amazing idea. A world build to last under the water!! Screw the top side where it's all messy chaos! :) and there's so many themes and little story ploys playing in the waves here.

The characters are amazing. The good, the bad. The in between and those you're not so sure about. You'll fall in love with the main character and want to know everything surrounding Aemi. She's a smart girl and she's crafty and maybe a little insecure but within reason. There's non stop action surrounding Aemi and she is constantly guarding herself. And I look forward to seeing where Nol is going to lead up.

Yes there are some questions that need to be addressed but this is only the beginning and I can't wait to see where it will go. I'm so freaking amazed!! 5 PAWS!!!

Aemi has a new life beneath the sea in the world of Itlantis, but all is hardly idyllic—her assimilation into Itlantean society is fraught with accusations and rumors, those closest to her are keeping deadly secrets, and most frightening of all, someone is trying to kill her.

Desperate for answers, Aemi and her friends set off to find answers in Arctus, the Ice City, but they might uncover more than they bargained for in the process.

Free or not, life beneath the sea in the republic of Itlantis is less idyllic than Aemi might have imagined when she'd been just a surfacer slave. She's been accused of spying for the enemy thanks to her connections with the traitorous Nautilus family, not to mention her own tangled and mysterious family history. Her mother has arrived, and is determined to take over her life. Oh, and someone is trying to kill her. Again.

When Aemi receives word that her best friend might still be alive in a village on the surface, she and a crew of friends set out to find him, regardless of the danger from Nautilus's men patrolling the open sea and the mysterious threats on her life. But the sea is not the only thing that holds secrets.

Summary:

When Bee is imprisoned in a magical, cursed house because of her father's selfish choices, she has just one plan... escape! But she must solve a riddle and help her fellow prisoners break the curse that binds them all before she can leave, and that is proving more difficult than she originally thought thanks to the bitter young master of the house, Will.

Will wants nothing to do with Bee or her help (and he certainly isn't planning on falling in love with her), but he might have underestimated just how determined and clever--and irresistible--she can be.

A Super-short Excerpt!!!

He raked his gaze over me once. I felt like a package that had come in the mail, one in which the contents had turned out to be a slight disappointment.

“So you’re the Curse Girl,” he said finally, after a long pause. “The words of the curse spoke about a girl called Beauty, but I thought the line meant a beautiful girl.”

FROST (The Frost Chronicles #1)

In the icy, monster-plagued world of the Frost, one wrong move and a person could end up dead—and Lia Weaver knows this better than anyone. After monsters kill her parents, she must keep the family farm running despite the freezing cold and threat of monster attacks or risk losing her siblings to reassignment by the village Elders. With dangers on all sides and failure just one wrong step away, she can’t afford to let her emotions lead her astray. So when her sister finds a fugitive bleeding to death in the forest—a young stranger named Gabe—Lia surprises herself and does the unthinkable.

She saves his life.

Giving shelter to the fugitive could get her in trouble. The Elders have always described the advanced society of people beyond the Frost, the “Farthers,” as ruthless and cruel. But Lia is startled to find that Gabe is empathetic and intelligent…and handsome. She might even be falling in love with him.

But time is running out. The monsters from the forest circle the farm at night. The village leader is starting to ask questions. Farther soldiers are searching for Gabe. Lia must locate a secret organization called the Thorns to help Gabe escape to safety, but every move she makes puts her in more danger.

Is compassion—and love—worth the risk?

BREWER: A FROST STORY

*This novella takes place during Bluewing, #4 in The Frost Chronicles series*

Adam Brewer has a past, and he doesn't like to speak about it. Few know of his history. Even fewer know the extent of his feelings for a certain fierce young woman. Stuck in a prison cell, he must stay sane...and hold on to hope that he'll see her again.

Author's Note: This novella reveals a bit of Adam’s complicated past and contains spoilers through book #4 (Bluewing) of The Frost Chronicles. I suggest reading it after you’ve read at least Frost, Thorns, Weavers, and Bluewing!
