Book Description:

Werewolves and humans don't mix. Until danger forces an alliance and desire demands satisfaction.

Leading his pack of werewolves keeps Vincent plenty busy, and now with a predator out to harm them, life is more perilous than ever. The last thing he needs is a woman to complicate matters, especially one who sets his body and soul on fire. She's a human and a witch — totally the wrong woman for him. Even if he could take a mate for his own, he refuses to put her in the danger his life has become. No way can they ever be together. Werewolf-style love is fine anyway. No permanent partner, no bullshit, no heartache.

Genevieve has never known true love. Cursed by an enraged woman long ago, females in her family are doomed to go insane if they fall in love. Life has been fine without a man around-- until a hot werewolf drops in and captures her heart. Though they have plenty of obstacles to overcome, Gen knows they can work past them. Tell that to Vincent, as he struggles with old pack rules about love, sex, and consorting with humans.

As Vincent searches for a killer, deals with death among his own, and tries to keep his hands off Gen, she attempts to end her family curse. Together, they must find a way to break free from the sins of long ago.

My Review

I love this series! I love werewolves, so it's no shocker when a well written book about them comes along that I love it. LOL The Alpha has some troubles going on, so he really doesn't need a human woman coming along, but he can't get over the witch. Except there's a curse that comes along with this human, who isn't completely human, but a witch. And it of course gets complicated, and real steamy from there!

Gen and Vincent have so many things piled against them, and yet they are so right. And though both have had previous failures with their problems in the past, especially Gen, they are both determined to make this work.  I loved both lead characters, who are well written, and realistic.

The story is well written, and though it seems like fate wants to keep them apart, things need to work out, they just do. I am trying not to give away too many things. There's great emotions in this one, including humor, and some heart wrenching moments. It's a great read and I can't wait for the next book!! 5 PAWS!

 Author Interview

First, tell me a little about your book ….
I'd love to, thanks for asking! Sins of Long Ago is about a tough werewolf pack leader who falls for a witch with a curse on her family. She can't have love in her life or she'll go insane. He's way too busy to let a woman in his life. On top of that, there's bad blood between the witches and werewolves, and a killer is stalking his pack. Lots of action, adventure, and of course, hot werewolf love. Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life? I wish my life was as exciting as the ones my characters live in my books! They get to hang out with hot men and women, fall in love, discover new people in their town, get chased by bad guys…okay, maybe not that last one. I do slip many personality traits of people I know into my characters. That's why I love to talk to people. And whenever something interesting happens in my life, I say "Huh. That would be great in a story," and real quick, I write it down. How do you chose when/which characters die in your books? It's tough. I don't want anybody to die, even the bad guys. I want them to be redeemed. But in book one of the Nocturne series, I had to kill someone. It was sad, but he had to go. I tried to write it a different way, but the story wasn't working. If the plot needs it, I have to be brutal.
Who do you look up to as a writer?
All the men and women who write blogs and articles. Things have changed so much in the past years and I applaud those who bravely move forward and take risks, and then share their knowledge with others. I also appreciate craft blogs. So many of them give me valuable tips and tricks to use. If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your book? Oh sure. There's always one or two things I slap my head about after it's out there. D'oh! But honestly, Sins of Long Ago is my favorite story so far, and I can't think of too much I'd do differently with it.Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing? For the whole writing experience, including marketing, editing, etc., I've learned to let go of perfection and realize that mistakes are going to occur. Shit happens. It's always going to happen. What matters is, how I deal with it. For instance, on my blog tour, I had a minor blip and I made a mistake on my Rafflecopter. I could have got all upset, but I didn't. The blip got worked out, and I found a solution to deal with my mistake. Nobody died, I didn't have a fit. Years ago, I probably would have screamed bloody murder, but not these days. It's still challenging, when things go wrong, not to get upset. But I let problems roll off my back a lot easier now. What book are you reading now? Or what genre?I'm reading the "In Death" series by J.D. Robb. I love a good mystery with my romance and she does them so well. I'm almost always surprised at the end.
Who designed the cover? And do you help with them?
I like that my publisher, Liquid Silver Books, lets me give my input. Cover designing is hard work, and I appreciate when the artist comes up with something that takes my breath away. When I saw the cover for Sins, I asked for a slight change to the hero and heroine. I wanted him a little older and her to have curly hair. Like magic, the artist did it, perfectly.Did you learn anything from writing your books and what was it?When writing a series, keep good track of characters. I have them appear in more than one book, so it's important to know about their traits, what they drive, where they live, etc. If I start out with good descriptions, and write them down, it's so much easier later on. I don't spend hours digging through the manuscript going "Where the @#$% did I put that?" That last part is the key, writing it down. I think I'll remember a description, but do I? No!If you could be one of your characters, who would you chose? Hmmmm. Can I be a male? I'd like to hop inside Vincent's body for a day or two. Not ON Vincent's body. Shame on all those of you who thought that. *grins, because I did too* Although, there is a secondary character in Sins named Sally, who has a pretty fun life and some great magical skills.  Are there any books you think some of us should read, just because? All of mine, of course! What I'd really like to tell readers is, try a different genre or two. You might find you're surprised by what you enjoy.Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers? Thank you for having me here, Maghon, and thanks to everyone reading for buying books and being fans. I appreciate it so very much!
