am not a picture. You can’t frame me and fasten me to the wall and
stare at me. You can’t just turn me around when you don’t want to

My Review
Ok, so this is a retelling of Pinocchio, as a girl, and modernized. Now, everyone knows I love this author's dystopian works, and I've very much liked his paranormal works, but this is just too cool. It may not hit my love spot like the dwellers did, or the storm series did, but it's still just as awesome but it's different. I loved that Pia was finding herself while having to figure out what life was all about, as well as learning that she is worth more than just what she can work and get past manipulations. I won't lie, it may sound a little boring, Pinocchio, but this story had me glued to the pages to see everything through with Pia.
She's a great character to see. She's strong and smart and brave and she has the intrigue factor working for her with trying to figure out how the "wires" attached are working and how to get rid of them. To be her own person. It's a mystery as well with suspense and I couldn't help but cheer for Pia to take a stand and be own her own from her master. And wait til you see the surprises with the bad guy.
I always love Mr D's writing style. He has a way of sucking you into the story and making sure you want to be there for the whole thing. This story is not an exception, and in fact I think it's great because it's not something most would take on. And to make it great based on something that was already well done, and of course it was just so much fun! I am so excited for Pia to come to light and for Mr D to have another great accomplishment under his belt!! Well done!! 5 PAWS!!
